Showing Our Jeff Gordon Nascar at the AutoSport Show!

Lv8LYqI.jpg

Hi all,

It is a big year for Nascar this year with it being it's 75th Anniversary so it was great to get invited to show our 2012 Jeff Gordon Chevy Impala Nascar a the Autosport Show at the NEC as part of the celebrations, it was certainly busy and the car got plenty of attention, seems there are a lot of Nascar fans in the UK and rightly so as it is most definitely my favourite form of motorsport, not long now till the new season starts with the Daytona 500 in February.

I just wanted to share a few pictures and announce that over the next 2 weeks I will be in talks to start our own iRacing Nascar league so please watch this space and that is certainly going to be a lot of fun.

Cheers,

Paul.

And 75 years earlier, here is a 1946 NASCAR which my sister owns. Look at the tractor size steering wheel 😲

It's actually on Vancouver Island. Not sure if they are going to restore or keep it "original"

She also has the car (Old Bess) that raced against Jim Clark when he won the Indy 500 in 1965.

Designed by Rolla Vollstedt and raced by Billy Foster, a Canadian rookie, it lined up 6th on the grid and came in 12th.

It is now restored to its 1965 colours but I believe it still runs on methanol.

Fantastic, anything that raced against Jim Clark is a winner in my book, if only I had a time machine I would love to go back to that 1965 Indy 500.
