New Rega Planar 6 Turntable Now on Demo!
Hi All,
Just a quick message to say that we now have the much anticipated Rega Planar 6 turntable on permanent demo fitted with Rega’s excellent Ania Moving Coil Cartridge and partnered with their Fono MC phono stage which really does make a brilliant package.
I have to say I have been waiting for this turntable for quite some time as when the brilliant new Planar 3 came out it was so good that it really did knock on the RP6′s door, in fact once the Planar 3 was released I don’t think we sold another RP6 as the 3 was just ridiculously good so Rega actually ended up putting themselves under quite a bit of pressure to improve the RP6, well the good news is that they haven’t disappointed, with the MC Ania fitted it is a brilliant setup, almost like a cut down RP8 with Apheta if you like and in true Rega fashion is brilliant value for money.
The styling is quite different from Rega’s recent turntables, they have gone back to the smoked lid with a matt black plinth with gloss black surround, I have to say that it looks really classy but obviously it is the sound that really matters here and with the Ania fitted you really feel you are getting everything out of the groove but not in a bright or forward way, you still get that lovely analogue presentation but with the pace and rythmic way that Rega has always had.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Rega are going to have another hit on their hands here, I don’t know how they do it as every generation just gets better and better and it is brilliant to see with the vinyl revival still going strong that we have such a brilliant British company producing products at this level for everyone to enjoy their vinyl collections on, from the brilliant Planar 1 to the RP10 with Aphellion Rega are really on a roll at the moment.
If you would like to demo any of the Rega turntable range please feel free to get in touch as we have the full range on permanent demo.
