Big Mc Attack!

So last Thursday was a big day, ever since we started HFL a few years ago I always promised myself that if we ever had the space, and the money to be honest, then I would love to represent McIntosh properly, I am a sucker for the meter’s, the blue & green look and that glass front panel, absolutely timeless.

We have dabbled with their headphone amps and Dac’s at Highend Headphones before but last week we took delivery of our first lot of demo stock, all very exciting, let the un-boxing commence, first I got round to un-boxing the stunning new MA252, I really do believe this is one of the prettiest amps ever made and when announced by McIntosh recently was the catalyst for me expanding my McIntosh range as I just had to have one on demo , I can really see this being very popular as at £4500 it isn’t silly money, especially when you see it and how well made it is, you really do wonder how McIntosh can do it for the money, I almost don’t care what it sounds like tbh when it looks this good

It is McIntosh’s first Hybrid design so valve’s for the Preamp stage and 100 Watts into 8 ohms of solid state power for the amplifier section, it also has a moving magnet phono stage section built in which is great news for all us vinyl lovers out there.
