2-Eleven dyno results

Hi guys,

I finally got around to putting my 2-Eleven on my dyno. http://mrozcompleteauto.com/pages/1/index.htm

I had a small fan blowing on the intercooler and a brand new calibrated wideband sensor. Here are back to back pulls.

Here is the pull with the A/F ratio.

Looks Cool - Charlie's working on the 260 ECU and I'm interested to see what he finds. As posted on LT I did think eratic-ness of the stock ECU was highlighted when compared to Charlies tune.

Already done ... 260 better (read smoother) than the 255 but quite aggressive on both timing and air/fuel ratios in a few spots ... not close to what Mr Oz and friend got with tuning (irrespective of headers).

Yep - we get a warranty. 12months and some restrictions (for example, all body panels are specifically not covered as they are very very thin). Any race work voids it but from some other posts Lotus are being really reasonable with out of warranty failures.

Aside from warranty issues we don't know what the commercial arrangements or details between Lotus and Toyota are.

If there's a clause (which I have seen in other situations) from Toyota stating fixed limits as to what engine output lotus can fit the parts too then their hands are tied.

Toyota have a big rep and if Lotus decided to release a reasonably high profile car with say 300bp that then got bad press for regulary blowing up their gearboxes then toyota will be far from happy (even if Lotus admit they were operating outside the specifications of the unit).

Definately looks like there was some form of restriction which explains why the stepped release of the SC models (220 -> 240 -> 255 -> 260). that and it also keeps customer interest ;)

The joys of supplier contract law!
