  1. Any thoughts on using greenhouse heater tubes under esprit in my damp garage? I have ordered 2 x 6ft.
  2. Hi Bauke Tocus, how did you resolve the problem of no oil pump belts being available new? Jay
  3. Anyone got a solution for the unobtainable oil pump belts yet nervous about driving my car not sure how old the belt is.
  4. Paul Coleman. Are they both s1’s. as the thread says I’m looking to buy one. Selling my sc Elise to fund. Would you consider selling to me? Need a stable mate for my dry sump turbo.
  5. I bid until the end but having talked to the vendor knew his reserve was 27K. He has a local buyer who will give him close to his reserve. Had it been cheaper I may have gotten it. However car was in germany and i didn't get to see it so was nervous about committing, getting it home etc. Will have to keep ear to ground again.
  6. Does anyone know car 343G ? rhd originally black? Thinking of buying? J
  7. Yeah that’s where I’m told they go but wanted to see how they are mounted. Ta where is your compressor?
  8. I have got a set of esprit oem air horns and want to fit to my 82 dry sump as I don’t think the peep peep of the existing horns befit the car. Don’t know where to mount can anyone help. Ta J
  9. My roof stereo car doesn’t have mirror stuck on window but stereo was fitted aftermarket.
  10. When I was at beaulie supercar weekend last year showing WPC229X a guy showed me a photo of a turbo in a french barn under tarpaulin. He said was from a bond movie with an OPW plate visible. Car had been sat there for a long time. Wish I’d gotten the chaps details.
  11. Ok, thanks for that I will need to source some then. J
  12. Yup mine looks like the top one in my 68 bought 25 years ago and now restoring. The bottom ones look like the pic I sent tho don’t they? On eBay at the moment. J
  13. Can’t find a picture relevant on the link you sent sorry. Rear seat and front seats fold in my car.
  14. Morning are these the correct seats for my 68 +2?
  15. Now has the holy trinity. Dry sump, Panasonic stereo and compomotives.
  16. I might be tempted but how much financial sense it makes for the buyer I don’t know. I also have a 4 stud set which I was going to refurb and fit but it meant replacing the hubs and possibly rear arms. Didn’t fancy that then found the first 5 stud set. By the time I’ve bought new rims from image, nuts, bolts and hat washers. Had them powder coated and diamond cut. Made centres and sourced spigot rings may have been cheaper to get image to make a set from scratch . Having said that when it’s not on display I can just bolt the old wheels on. Built a rear up this evening will post with tyre on car if it holds air next couple of days.
  17. One wheel done holding air. Fingers crossed. Also found another set to build up. J
  18. Might need a few more sets of washers if they are still available. J
  19. Just got centres back from powder coating and diamond cutting. This weekend going to put them together so I can have them on the car for the SuperCar fest weekend. Also just secured a second set of 5 stud compomotive centres if goes well might do a second set in gold.
  20. So I’ve gotten some spigot rings which make the wheels now hub centric. Strippid paint off one wheel which was a mistake total pain in the bottom. Not sure I will do the others as they are ok and the thought of masking 4 of them up for paint makes me shudder. Have some center caps to modify then build time. Fiancé now knows I’ve bought them went better than I hoped. Thinly veiled them as an investment. I’ve 2 original Goodyear front tyres looking for rears any help? J
  21. Yeah I agree try them without the center painted first. Just mocked one rear on the car and it sits 1 cm further out from the shock for reference shouldn’t be anti issue?
