    V6 cup

I had a stage 2 tuned R35 GTR, with lots of suspension modifications and upgrades.... I got bored! Sorry but after the speed novelty wears off you realise very quickly it just isn't that fun to drive. Too civilised and not enougth driving RAW. It also cost an absolute super car fortune to run!!!! I then moved to a 997.2 GT3 loved the car, servicing and maintenance costs a lot lower that the GTR but I cashed in at the end of 2013 as got an offer I just couldn't refuse from Porsche direct. I'm now 200 miles into running my V6S Already loving the back to basic no frills driving experience. It feels raw, real, and like a frickin go kart!!!! Gets a lot of attention, it does have its niggles but for a true driving experience it is epic and I'm not even over 4k revs yet lol I didn't go Cup and I'm not too fussed or feel I've missed out by sticking with the S. I'll just upgrade bits as and when such as nitrons, brakes etc in time and as more aftermarket options come available. Good luck with the saving!
  2. Thanks for the feedback Pits. My query was really pointed to what wax/polish people are using.... As some waxes for example can promote yellowing overtime which is a big concern for me given the cars white :/ I also had the same thought ref full bonnet but also got the same response from Anna that it would require a join which I hazard a guess could make the 'line' look even more prominent.
  3. I'm in the same predicament and from research in forums and online Xpel seems to be the best for shine and film thinness, it's also the most expensive however PaintShield seem to be open to price match. I'll be looking to have my car detailed (Aspen White) as soon as it's delivered and before any film is applied so I can retain the best finish. However I'm reading soo many reports about the pre-cautions you have to take with the polish and wax used ie. non abrasive ingredients etc... For those with PPF what's in your detailing kits? Be keen to understand the products your using and your feedback on what works best.
  4. I think there's a lil bit of luck and timing involved but there are deals to be done as I've found out with my recent purchase
  5. I think Lotus have played a blinder with their 50/50 0% finance deals pulling in a new customer demographic (gt3 owners for example) and making the choice of buying new very easy for some folk. Equally when your offering 0% the power is with the dealer so very little chance to negotiate. However nothing is for free, someone is paying the interest and as such it will be built into the cost of the car, so if you are lucky enough to buy 100% cash I reckon there's prob about £2.5k you could get off as a minimum if you time the negotiating to the dealers end of month or quarter.
