I had a stage 2 tuned R35 GTR, with lots of suspension modifications and upgrades.... I got bored! Sorry but after the speed novelty wears off you realise very quickly it just isn't that fun to drive.
Too civilised and not enougth driving RAW. It also cost an absolute super car fortune to run!!!!
I then moved to a 997.2 GT3 loved the car, servicing and maintenance costs a lot lower that the GTR but I cashed in at the end of 2013 as got an offer I just couldn't refuse from Porsche direct.
I'm now 200 miles into running my V6S
Already loving the back to basic no frills driving experience. It feels raw, real, and like a frickin go kart!!!!
Gets a lot of attention, it does have its niggles but for a true driving experience it is epic and I'm not even over 4k revs yet lol
I didn't go Cup and I'm not too fussed or feel I've missed out by sticking with the S. I'll just upgrade bits as and when such as nitrons, brakes etc in time and as more aftermarket options come available.
Good luck with the saving!
