I'm also going for the Komo-tec KoBra4 big brake kit front and rear - Performance Friction 343mm discs (standard 330mm) and brake pads - since I managed to exhaust the standard pads at Castle Combe last year after multiple hard laps.

Here's the link to the Komo-tec 475 engine upgrade too:

I can only recomend the Kobra4 brakes (PFC) ... probably the best upgrade for me - but I came from the standard 1 piece system ...

Wow ... looks very good!!!

I do not have racechrono but in AIM for e.g. I can calibrate all channels - should be possible with race chrono as well I assume ... not sure why the value is off in the first place btw ...
-
Gear: will have to be calculated ... you wont get it via OBD...
Break Pressure: there is no data that you can access via OBD - I did install a BP sensor to get that data via my AIM system
Throttle: should be 0 ... needs to be calibrated ...
-
All black ... keep it simple - you have enough going on now
-
Wow ... look at the flames ... what button do I have to push to get those?!?

Great job! Lets get some boot supports for the wing designed and done pls for the Exige as well ... there are plenty of big wing guys on here that would love to have them ???

@alias23 great upgrades! Always inspiring to see what you do ...
Btw: adding the HANS is absolutely the right decision - I was in between the Schroth and the Simpson as well ... the Simpson comes with a quick release system, if you have that, its relatively easy to fit ...

You are right, I was wrong ... checked the data sheet 124mm front and 132 back ...

Thats high still ... I think mine is 110ish with the Oehlins, if I am remembering correctly ...
I always wanted to know: how low do you have to be for the „ground effect“ aero impact to really kick in?

I can recomend the Simpson Hybrid Sport or Pro: https://driver61.com/product/simpson-hybrid-system-pro-lite-head-neck-restraint/
Its realtively comfi to wear. Took me a trackday to get used to but ever since I do not really notice it anymore while driving on track.
For the drifters amongst us ( @GFWilliams ✌️): depending on your drift angle, you might find it hard to still look out the side window while fully in action... could be a bit dangerous than ?Btw: there are different versions, you certainly do not have to go for the most expensive carbon (pro) version...

Or don't crash!
You never know - even the best / most carefull driver - you can always have a technical issue that leads to an unavoidable crash or run into a situation thats beyond your control (somebody crashing in front of you or a simple coolant spill) ... the likelyhood might be very low but the outcome could be catastrophic ...

Dont forget the HANS if you drive with 4pt or 6pt harness ...
seriously ... there was a deadly accident just last year at the Salzburg Ring where a guy in his GT3 RS hit the barrier straight on and broke his neck due to wearing the 6pt harness and a helmet.
If he just would have worn a HANS or even just the 3pt he most likely would have walked out w/o any major injuries ...

The block is the same.
But you would have to work out where to put the plumbing and radiator for the charge cooler.
Same space that KomoTec uses for their solution ...

I bet within the next 12-18 month (prior to the new Elise) we will see a Exige/Evora that is superior to the 430s that will have a Volvo Turbo charged engine. The engines are already in Hethel arent they? ;-)
Cheers

Hi Arun: Peter is an excellent driver and he seems to love the Cup 360 despite owning a 675 LT as well ... Ascari is high on my list as well a very cool track...
-
Looks like the fire came from the exhaust area of the car... is that a tubular exhaust or the KomoTec?
-
I have my wheel at a trimmer in Germany right now - he is also doing the dash. Hope mine will come out better... will post pictures when I have the car back. So far I am waiting much long than promised but its cold here anyway and there is salt on the street - its the best time of the year for doing that kind of work.
-
Sorry to hear... would be interesting to know what went wrong and how much modified the car was...

http://komo-tec.com/Shop/Exige/MK3-Toyota-V6/Kuehlsystem/Getriebeoelkuehler-Kit-fuer-Exige-V6.html
thats the Kit that I did install - track use of an EX460 is not possible imho w/o a cooler

Mee too ... but in the end only a cooler will fully fix it ...

I got a quote for installing an xtrac on the Exige 430 it's around 30K. the running cost of the gearbox is quite expensive also. Until KT find a solution , I would like to know if the gearbox of the Evora GT430 can be installed on the Exige. I have one year to pass with the 350 before to swap to new car, hope we will find a solution.
Is probably possible I would say but its going to be pretty expensive as well ... any idea what Lotus wants for it?
