  1. top chap many thanks, there are more carbon bits than i thought, hopefully the side skirts, and access and sail panels will fit the 400 Cheers again
  2. guess I'm on me todd then lol sorry for posting in wrong spot chaps
  3. Looking to add a few subtle mods to the car, if anyone knows where i could procure them I would be greatly appreciative. if you have heard of any website that are doing aftermarket parts for the ever 400 that would be perfect. Interior: Sills - Currently plastic keen to have carbon entry sills Phone holder - One that looks OEM? what do you use? Exterior: Front Splitter like the 430GT? Carbon Inspection Panel the panel where you top up your Washer Jets Rear Spoiler? i like the GT4 spoiler are there any 400 owners sporting the GT4 spoiler? Carbon Vent at the top of the tailgate? Again any help greatly appreciated, also if anyone is selling any of these bits let me know
  4. so chaps they managed to fix the car in time for the wedding too, so i can't praise their customer service enough for that. i'll try find some pics, but thanks for those who offered their cars, and further advice. apologies to Jayemm I maybe ranted a little too loud ha ha
  5. It's an early one chaps, has the lotus lettering on the console, not got numbers and dates to hand though. apoarently this is the first lotus have seen. According to lotus it's a supercharger which are on back order. I am praying that Andy from lotus manages to get me a replacement unit for Thursday as my best mate is using the car for his wedding Friday in Bournemouth sad times I honestly have lost count of all the problems with the car ?

  7. In both modes pal it's an odd whine pm me ya number n I'll drop you an audio clip if you like
  8. Coming from engine bay as if supercharger is spooling but it's definatdly bit normal any ideas no lights on dash
  9. resolved by turning the remote dial up its an accessory for the JL amp i stumbled across it when routing the cable and mounting the switch then switched it over to channels 3/4 so it controls the bass of the sub when its mounted. I also re earthed the amp which i am happier with the connection now. fingers crossed i get my enclosure back this week.
  10. I have upgraded the front speakers to Focal AS130 with the crossover and tweeter, I have upgraded the Amp to the JL Audio 4/400 Full range Amp like James on the lotus diaries. I have bought the same sub too. the Hertz 8 inch Question I have is am i running the set up correctly and could i potentially have a faulty earth? The Amp has power to it, the remote is wired in and turns the amp on and off, and i have sound coming out of the speakers..... However, the headhunt has to be turned all the way up to 30-35 to hear it. could this be down to the settings in the head unit or on the amp? I'm thinking the amp. Currently its set on Low input for the 2 channels running the front speakers should that be switched to high? Also what Hertz should I run the amp at for those channels and should i bridge the connections into the amp? With having power, and the speakers working would a faulty ground mean the speakers volume is restricted? Any help greatly appreciated. Kind regards Chris
  11. James when you eventually wired in the new harness, did you find the speakers were quite quiet? Im presuming its more down to the settings for the amp but I have to turn the stereo up to around 30-35 whilst driving to hear the speakers properly, Im just wondering if I need to do something else as i can't see it being very loud? the previous speaker set up was louder but shite. prob just some twerking right?
  12. What Air filter have you used?
  13. so i have managed to crack on in the end as daunting a task as it was, i had ordered some trim tools which have been a god send! So far I have managed to strip the interior, run the cables, including the Main Power cable from the battery. I have also managed to replace the door speakers and run new wire through the rubber channels so no cables showing going into the doors. I've managed to remove the pillars for replacing the tweeters I've mounted the crossovers neatly and wired them in (barring the tweeters). I am now at a stage where I need to mount the sub, and amp although the problem being the amp i purchased is slightly too large for the job and sadly i cannot fit it where the original went. i am now hoping to exchange this so fingers crossed! Dynomatted doors, sealed the enclosure. and had a good tidy up. not a bad start. hopefully the ISO cable comes early this week, I also hopefully will purchase the JX400 as per James's audio upgrade it would appear given my current amp is too large i need to put the car back together and the way i see it is i will of saved the 300 quid quoted for installation so that can go towards upgrading/swopping the Hertz amp. for those keen to do this themselves it is possible to do so with the lotus service notes (VG sections) and a lot of patience. I have plenty of photos from each stage so if anyone would like them then please shout out. Will update further when I've got more bits and progress. One question though for James........ The Audison RCA's look to have a separate wire incorporated in them, could this be for the remote? only asking as i haven't run the cable for the remote yet despite there being one in the Audison Kit. Speak soon Chris
