  1. Could be Kimbers...... Going to talk to them again soon so perhaps I will have some news
  2. So, time for an update...... I contacted BBC Radio Humberside because that's the region where the picture was taken and there is a fair chance that the model was local and they did a bit on the morning show yesterday about it and put it on their Facebook page. I have had a flurry of responses so far with the main lead being that it may be a model called Georgie Nixon.... see what you think. They want me to go back on the show again tomorrow for an update so fingers crossed. Please feel free to share the Facebook link on your page and we may track down the mystery lady yet BBC Radio Humberside Interview
  3. 1: Brian King (bingoking) 2015 Lotus Evora GTE 2: Gordon Masson 1976 Esprit S1
  4. I think they are all variants of a Lucas motor... not that different from the headlight lift motors. Big problem would be the drive wheel and stop positions I think.
  5. I am going to strip down my wiper on the S1 in the next month so I have ordered up all the parts like the wheel box and the spacers etc etc. but I did wonder about the condition of the motor because it struggles to pull the blade up amd down. Could be because of the mechanism being shot or it could be the motor. Does anyone know if there is an alternative motor that can be used.... I guess the problem here would be getting the right stop points on the drive wheel.... or suggest someone who could refurbish the motor? Thanks
  6. It was built with that in mind that there may come a time when I rent out the house and dormer the garage and convert it to a house. I have options anyway so it's all good
  7. I live in Aberdeen where the buildings are predominantly granite do I went for granite, reclaimed slate to match my house and cedar panelling. The garage is wide enough for both Esprits and tall enough for them to be stacked on a 4 post ramp one above the other if I want to do that in the future. there is room for another car along the back and 2 bikes but they will eventually be sitting on platforms either side of the Lotus flag( the roof trusses have been strengthened to take the weight of the bikes). Lots of storage space in the loft. Went WAY over budget but its a great garage
  8. Hi Jim OK, see what you mean here, the problem seems to be that you have to be logged into Flickr on another account to enable you to upload pictures onto either Scottish Elises or LEGS Forum. Any suggestions on how to do it if you don't have a Flickr account?
  9. I have created a Flickr page that people can post their pictures to. It should be accessible so that anyone can upload pictures, please give it a try https://www.flickr.com/photos/legs_forum/
  10. Just a point on pictures from Sunday, if you have a Flickr or Photobucket page where you have saved your pictures, please feel free to add links to this thread in addition to your favourite pictures. @ Brian, Allan, Mark: Do we have a Flickr page we could use for LEGS pictures that anyone could add to?
  11. Thanks Andy Please feel free to attach more of your pics. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any myself so its good to see them now. Cheers
  12. Mike..... Awesome car! Thanks for bringing it along. Carlene is off to put a lottery ticket on tomorrow. She is no stranger to Ferrari's but she says yours is the best car she has been in in her life!
  13. Final call for any other people who would like to join us, please come along if you can. Mark Rigby has also arranged for our official TLF photographer, Callum Grant to come along so you might get some nice pictures of your car on the track. You might know Callum from the video he did for TLF a couple of years back at Speedfest.......
  14. Never to late for a quick blast up the road Al and you wouldn't need to be here until about 2 pm if you fancy a few public rides????? Promise to take some pictures of you on the track this time.
  15. For anyone who hasn't been to GTM before, this is layout of the area. People coming from Aberdeen will be on the A944 heading West. When you arrive in Alford, the East Gate should be the second major turning on the right which is opposite the Vale Hotel. As I recall, there is also be a brown "attractions" sign pointing to the right for Railway. When you enter the area via the East Gate, follow the road along past the green building on the left and then the grandstand on your right. I will be there by 11:00 to get everyone parked up in the areas for static display and track runs. Looking forward to a great day. Cheers Gordon
  16. Great effort guys thanks! Loving that pic by the way Chris. I will update you with any final details once I have spoken to GTM tomorrow. Remember if you have additional guests comming that are to passengers in your cars, give me their names and I will let them GTM know they are with us. See you all Sunday
  17. Hi Chris and welcome! Static display is fine. There is no time limit for additional cars joining us but the sooner you can let me know the better. Please post your car details and a picture if you can make it and I will create a display card for your car. Thanks
  18.     Hi Stuart and welcome to the Forum, it will be good to meet you and see the car. Because this is an event that Grampian Transport Museum publicise and specify that there will be track rides and cars on display, we have to ensure that the cars are there for the people who have come to the museum to see them so I cant really list cars as weather dependent. Please come along anyway... the more cars we have there the better!
  19. Hi folks Urgent reminder for information and pictures from some people please. See the list below for name and shame….. the information is coming from various different sources so apologies if I have missed someone’s details. Best place to post is on this page with picture if possible or mail to me at gordon.masson@subsea7.com. Please keep info and picture together otherwise it becomes a pain to sift through everything. All the information sheets will be printed out on Thursday evening. To answer a couple of questions: Access to the track area / arena for us will be available between 11:00 and 12:00 for us. After that they will close the outside gates so that we can get the static cars set up, have a bite to eat in the café and do a couple of laps. However, once again, I must stress this is not a track day. Passenger runs are due to take place between 2:00 and 4:00 pm but this may vary slightly depending on the number of people who want to take part in the rides. As far as I am aware the helmets rule was to do with the insurance liability from the SpeedFest event. I have not used them before at the Lotus day but no reason not to if you wish to. If you give me a list of people you would like to add to a “Guest list” who will not be arriving in with you as a passenger in your car, I will arrange with the museum to have passes / access made available to them. If you are arriving with a passenger in your car via the East gate you are already inside the Museum grounds so no tickets are required. If you need to get a hold of me my mobile number is 07775 701246 but please be aware that mobile coverage is poor at GTM. Thanks again for your support! 20. Hi Marge You are not on any of the lists at the moment? can you add your name if you are still attending and send a picture of your car for the information card if possible. Any more information you can give on the car would be good too.
