  1. I have a 2010 NA so not the comparison you’re after, but have had Nitron (fast road) fitted for a while now. I had the spring rates adjusted to be 50 pounds softer front and rear as it’s purely a road car. They’re brilliant, the ride is ridiculously compliant.  I do feel you’d likely want something a little more track focused if you’re planning to track though. Custom valving / spring rate as mentioned above may be the way to go.

Regarding the clunk, I had this at first but some lube on the ARB bushes solved the problem. No more clunks.

  2. I think most stuff has been covered already, but I’ll add that a 2010 LE with well adjusted original cables is still a pretty good shift. Never felt the need to spend any money to upgrade (and it was one of the main items on my list before purchase).

Assume it was the same in other countries, but here the LE came with all the packs. There is leather literally EVERYWHERE - even in the foot wells and the door pockets. I’ve sat in a couple of cars without the leather pack (whatever it was called). Didn’t quite feel (or smell) the same.

Best of luck with the test drives 👍🏼

  3. Yep, as said above I’d bet it was your mud flaps that were scraping previously. When approaching a speed bump, the bottom edge of the front wheel arch (bumper side) is actually lower than the lowest point past the wheel, so if it was the actual underside scraping, it would have hit before the wheel went over not after.  My car is quite low, it’s the mud flaps that always scrape, and they’re rubber, so no big deal.

  4. Yeah, I believe there were some quality issues with the earlier units. I actually had a set of them which were slightly faulty, they were replaced at no charge with the brand new eclipse units (been free postage to Australia). Great service and the replacements were much better built. Pity they’ve gone, but the GRP units are a great alternate and their service is also great.
