  1. I could take the day off, hmm I’ll think about it. If not this time next seems ideal👍🏽
  2. To far mid week, but looks fine for the weekend. No dramas, I’ll keep looking around.
  3. Any events or socials being planned at all, just curious? Saw some Mini’s heading off to Beaulieu this morning and looks organisers and venues are starting to work things out.
  4. Thanks, I’ll give this a go. Good to hear you done this a couple of times. 👍
  5. Has anyone moved there bonnet east or west to balance out the shut line/panel gap to the wings. Mine isn’t great and can get your pinky down one side and just about a match stick the other. Looking at the general arrangement drawings all I have to do is loosen six bolts and slide it in the slotted hinge holes with the bolts in place? Seems easy, but concerned it will drop and damage the paint or not go as expected. Ideally, it could do with a very slight rotation to be perfect as well. Should I leave it alone, not broke don’t fiddle or worth a go? Any luck by others doing something similar? Happy to hear, thanx.
  6. I did sample Hammerite and looks OK to me as well. No apparent reaction, I’ve attached a pic I think you can just the back of. Servo looked awful and cleaned it up as best I could, a bit reluctant to remove just to paint it and will look at this as well with good old enamel. Don’t want to lose the markings though. Prattling on now! thanks guys.
  7. Just thought I’d share a couple of “Lock down” jobs I’ve used my time at home to, knock off my list.

    1) Job number one, photos showing how damaged, cracked and holed my under tray was. I’ve since re-epoxy repaired it with West systems product and learned a lot about GRP in the process.  If you like I’ll take a picture of how it looks now, brand new!

    2) Job number two was to keep a promise to my wife to  finally finish a garden art project an idea I had to fill a boring wall at the back of our house. Although up its not quite finished, now waiting for some relaxation so I can go out and shop for some LEDs I want to put behind the tree.

What do you think? Making the most of the opportunity these awkward times.
I’ve enjoyed both these jobs which kept me sane, well saner at least!

Oh yes, please ignore the home brew bottles you might spot. I do like the odd Gallon, or three.🤪

    Adam.

  8. Can anyone give advice on the best paint to use inside the luggage space and underside of the lid to an S3 84? I’d like to brush re-coat under the brake servo where it’s been stripped off and a few generally worn areas. It’s OK but could be better and don’t want have completely re-coat (or spray) the whole space. I think I’m looking for a polyurethane product easily bought from motor factor or yacht chandler and also thought of Hammerite, but believe Hammerite is a zinc oxide based product, but I'm not certain this is the same for their satin finish paint. What do people use that works, any ideas? Thank you 🙏 Adam
  9. Does anyone have the diary of Lotus events in the UK for 2020 I can put into my diary please?

  10. Does anyone know where to get replacement decal stickers for a  headlamp motor and air filter stickers and all the small under the cover decals for an 84 turbo esprit?

Must be someone doing this at home or for lotus in general these days and not the big ones down the sides,  cheers.

    Appreciate any clues, thank you.

  11. Does anyone in Hampshire UK club or wider forum know where to get replacement decal stickers for a  headlamp motor and air filter stickers and all the small under the cover decals for an 84 turbo esprit?

  12. Just to say thanks Steve, looking good and fit like a dream. Velcro/ contact adhesive & DOT Snap fasteners combination worked really well.
  13. Yeah, l like the idea a Citroen job lot not needed. The number 5 shoulder bolts not the same position and as far I can determine, suppose it was for Citroen use only. So redundant. thanks for your comments, happy days
  14. Looks like no harm done, I hope? Might be a Citroen thing, but sure is strange. Im sure it has a purpose though.
  15. Does anyone know what the extra long studded cover bolt is for in the photo? The one with which screws into the top cover like the other bolts which for some reason I don’t understand, has a taller head and stud poking up in to space. The one diagonally opposite the filler level plug. I hope it’s not important, cause thinking the previous owner lost a normal stud and used something he had laying around, I trimmed it down sufferIng an extreme attack of OSD for things being ‘neat and tidy’. If it serves no purpose then I can relax, but thought it might be a gauge or something used during an overhaul? Shoot me please!
