  1. Hi Mark. Could you help me with something? I just got a 1977 Eclat that have been in the USA until 1999. The thing is that I need some pictures of the engine compartment and specifically the wire harness there. That is if your engine have Zenith Stromberg carburetors. The previous owner in the US have tried to do a mild custom out of it and it's crazy wiring all over the car. The wiring diagrams in my workshop manual do not compute with what's in the car. A lot of same color wires, especially behind the center console, a really big mess of mostly red, green and blue wires. Will be very grateful for all help. By the way, is there any Lotus parts stores in the US that have nice prices?

Can't help you with the engine bay as mine has been converted to Dellortos. I do have a couple of wiring diagrams that previous owner supplied me. I have used R&D Enterprises for some parts and they were quite reasonable. There is also the parts exchange database on the Lotus Elite/Eclat/Excel owners group on Facebook that is handy.

Thank you. I see it's the same ones I already got. Found out mine is Federal, so I will go with that electrical diagram. I am sure I will find many wires that's not even connected to anything....

I kinda figured you had these but just in case . . .

Also I wanted to say that I have sourced parts from Dave Bean Engineering and they were quite reasonable as well. - Even found a used power steering pump for me. Good folks.
