haha has that photo been edited in any way?!!  Cant believe how big those trucks are, makes the Lotus look like a toy car!

My 4c is about the same size as an elise, and I daily drive a pickup truck, I'll take a full photo this evening PST, (however my truck isnt lifted mind you),

Its say with the lift kits (ever so popular,  and a reoccurring trend every decade that's pretty accurate)

  2. Wow that's a big compliment,  I'd love to come to Scotland,  and honestly I'd love to drive the UK, in anything.   I really, really,  enjoy driving.

In a car like that, the pleasure is the connection between the driver, the car and the road, that's the magic the moment of meditative nirvana,  and I said it already.   Lotus does THAT like nothing else.   I dont understand the fuss over cupholders or even the radio, in a drivers car.  Seems to me to be sn irrelevant thing.

I tried to remain unbiased in that series, until my regular viewers noted that I didn't give my opinion on whether or not I'd buy it.  So I answered with another video.

Bill is a great guy, and I was pretty surprised that he loved it, even through his bias, for Americans Lotus is a thing of rumor, good or bad.   Even for me the buyer difficult to find, people dont know what they dont know,  its not a Porsche,  or anything else, it's a Lotus

I'm flattered and embarrassed, and I am, truly bit by the bug of that car.

Your delorean review was beautifully done sir, I'm in awe of your talent and skill in the editing room. My God you should do more of that!

Looks like it has a wider track front and rear so possibly a slightly larger car... Can't see much else that tells us anything though!

Is it me, or does the picture appear to have excessive body roll for a round'a'bout.  It could be the angle of the photo mind you,

  4. Bah, I'm just a regular guy man, nobody special a hobbyist, that isn't even sure how any of it occurred anyway, I've a face for Radio, and Look a bit like Uncle Fester, I don't consider myself a real YouTuber.  On a serious note, I had come here to learn more about the Brand and the Product, with no intention of self promotion, I'm fascinated by it.  I'm just a Driving Enthusiast, a working class guy that likes a cold pint and a book.  I'm actually sorry that even came out, on here.  I'm on many auto forums, and I try to not talk about it.

On an aside I have no intention of turning me buying a car into an event on my channel.  I just want the car, I'm not sure it's even relevant

But seriously whatever they get I really want for my own purposes, .

As long as it's a proper manual, they can put balloons, bunnies and butterfly graphics on it at this point, my patience for waiting is waning, and while I try to give a fair and impartial perspective, I think track days will open up again and at bare minimum more accessible then they have been, I'd like to go play.

In short?  I want to go wreck some corner on a track, and I think that's the lady to do it for me.

(I'm excessively long winded, I apologize, I type and speak in a stream of consciousness fashion )

  5. Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday.  It's good to see this remains part of the Mantra for Manufacturers.  I believe there to be an inherent truth in making those feel a part of what's occurring on the track, and how one creates loyal, and fervent constituents.  I can't speak to autos, but on a moto, this is still a real truth; those boys and girls play for the love, and there's no money in it for the rider, but the Sponsors still adhere to this, and while they all want a front runner, they'd prefer to take on the representative who will bring awareness to them in the pits.  Which is why you'll often see mid pack guys with more Sponsors then frontrunners.

Go GEELY!  Bring us back to the world of human socialization!

Is your rant something along the lines of FCA not knowing what they are doing with Alfa Romeo making a complete hash of it, keep changing their minds etc.?

Why have they dumped the 6C and GTV? The GTV would have been on my To Do list having been a massive fan of the whole GTV line (and having owned one). Why are they now concentrating on SUVs just after they have managed to start to establish a sporting name for themselves again. Why can't they triple check cars that they give to the press at launch so they don't fall apart, despite the fact that most of their cars are absolutely fine and never break down - they shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over again.

Sort out your dealer network, stop dropping everything that is interesting, don't try to compete directly with the Germans, stop giving the press lemons and stop cutting costs in really bleeding obvious places whilst putting silly carbon bits in other places. Also lower the cost of parts - they don't need to be THAT expensive, it's not a Ferrari. I bought my last Alfa 16 years ago, I wanted to replace it with another one... and I can't! Because you keep dropping the models that I'm looking forward to or ballsing them up like the Brera!... There is literally nothing like owning an Italian car, I love it, they manage to make everything dramatic and hilarious, the flaws make it better - even the FWD cars and them trying to throw you into a hedge which is annoying in other cars, in an Alfa is just like it waving it's arms around like a crazy Italian brightening up your day... I SO WANT A GOOD ALFA PLEEEAAAAASSSEEEEEEEEEE

Sorry which forum was this again?

    THIS!  ALL OF THE ABOVE!

What in God's name are they thinking?  Instead of taking the opportunity and capitalizing on it they Lateral the ball?  Really?  What Dealer Network?  You mean while you're cross shopping for a Dodge, or the 4k bolt tightening service they want for the 4c?  Or HOOOOOOWWWWW About how we were all hoping for a STRONG return of an AFFORDABLE Driver's car here stateside, and what we got was some one off Models, with questionable Customer Support.

No let's take the Brand who's now catered to those who really when described why they're buying do so because (I llke the queen crown, in reference to the trident), who's value sinks like the titanic.

DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THEIR MARKETING!  (Actually I can complain about this alot, and it's not brand specific).  Look, there are hundreds, and thousands of young people out there, who drive those twisty bits of road, who are driving a Japanese or American variation, because of affordability, can we stop pretending, that aesthetics are the primary selling point of a vehicle?  Those Canyon Rats are the future, and the more we deny them this, the more they will create their own.  Car Culture, is not going anywhere here in the United States, and in truth, the Facetainstamodelinfluencwhatevers are mocked every Sunday morning, and YOU the manufacturers turn a blind eye to who your real market is, and what the future of the sport, and passion COULD BE.  But go ahead, keep putting models that aren't interested in experience behind the lens, see how that works for you.  Completely ignore them, and their excitement for your Brand, and see what you'll be left with; I do hope you do really like making SUVs'.....

Don't get me started on how they won't let anyone drive these things, I literally tested mine in Italy, where I was exposed to the frantic and passionate nature of my 4c, which rekindled an emotion that I thought had died.

Also, why do I feel like I'm looking at an Evora?  Not that, that's a bad thing, but get real!  FCA YOU'RE KILLING ME, IS IT AN I8?  AN EVORA?  A 12C?  I've said it before, I'll say it again, put any nay sayer in an Evora with me on a twisty bit of road or track, and I'll make them a Convert.  Carbon Fiber Heaven be damned, in the end the moment you step outside of a showroom, the moment that GARAGE queen show piece is put in it's paces.

I give Alfa I give, I was counting on you to bring me, and countless others the passion of Driving, and I feel like you failed me.

  7. I know almost nothing about Lotus other than what they produce, and my own personal fascination with their commitment to bringing a driving experience that is unparalleled.

For me, a Driver, that's absolutely enough, I don't need to know more; so much so I'm willing to wait for my local Dealer to be in receipt of another Evora, which I'm not sure I'd be willing to say for any other Brand.

  8. Oh congratulations to him indeed!  Beautiful spec as well!  Indeed he has my envy.

Thanks for the likes, it was fun to write, I'm no journalist or media personality,  just the average Driving enthusiast who has definitely become smitten.

I'm also envious of those with such wonderful placement and access at this point, what started out as curiosity has for the last year been becoming a bit of a journey
