  1. Lotus Elise S1, 1998. A high-pitched tone is emanating from the front of the car. I think it maybe coming from the alarm unit under the dash - it's not the full siren sound. Using the immobiliser touch key, I can occasionally disable the immobiliser. Usually it disables and then the system seems to reset immediately, with the tone. If it doesn't reset, then on ignition, the fuel pump runs and the engine will run, although does not idle properly. The car hasn't been used for 3-4 months, but is connected to a battery charger. The battery is brand new and fully charged - I've heard this tone before, normally when the battery is low. The car has an Emerald K6 ECU fitted. I bought an immobiliser bypass plug from EliseParts, but the immobiliser is not where the diagram says it should be, and I've no idea where it might have been moved to, or if it's there at all. But I presume the touch key/alarm must be working with something. Any thoughts?
