  1. So... Cleared the error which was P0157 02 sensor circuit low voltage bank2 sensor2 Went out for a drive at lunch and let the car warm up. Friend said the volts seem to have stabilised on the 02 sensor once it was up to temp. Then took it down the local bypass slowly edging up to 4k, 4.5k 5k, hit approx 5.5k and engine tone changed completely and one bank of cylinders misfired and got shut down - light obviously came back on, limped back to work about 2 mins away. Started up just before leaving for home and all 6 fired up normally and drove without any issues apart from rev limiter coming on again about 80% of the way home (as per usual). Errors after new light P0300 Random/multiple cylinder misfire, P0302, P0304, P0306 cylinder misfires 2,4 and 6 and P1302 also an ROR and RXE whatever they are. Will just have to leave the car till it goes in, not going to pay for a new battery as they should be fixing this - asked if Glasgow can get this pushed forward for me as its very frustrating having happened from day 1. Would this be an ECU issue - see a lot of posts on these being replaced!
  2. Good to hear on the warranty, thought it might be fine tbh - just good to get other opinions and I was going to do an export of error codes to keep for my records. Yep - if it's a dodgy sensor it should come back. Thanks for the advice on batteries - will keep them noted, as well as the 30mins ignition off timing. Will be clearing on Tuesday/Wednesday when I see my friend and hopefully it does sort the issue and I can enjoy the car properly! Will post up a few day later whatever happens.
  3. Well, managed to get it booked in - 24th October ffs! I have seen this in a few other forums that the batteries can cause issues if sat around too long and periodically charged up, then once swapped were fine, one guy immediately swapped out the battery for a premium brand as soon as he got it - cars are meant to be driven not sat in a lot! Also a few have cleared the code and it never came back. Tempted to clear it to see what happens, just concerned the dealership might not be happy and start causing me issues or if it voids warranty in anyway? I wouldn't of thought so, but I'm not experienced enough with this to know. It still needs to go in for a software update and a recall fix as well. Might look at a new battery if it's ok to clear the code, but it comes back. Any good battery recommendations? Cheers!
  4. Hi all, Finally got my Emira after initially pulling out back in October last year, and now grabbing pretty much my perfect spec albeit 2nd hand. Basically launch spec blue with the ice grey interior. Bit of a trek to get it from Lotus Glasgow (I am in south of England) but on the way back I had an amber warning light pop up and then not far from home was restricted to 4k revs - it was only 600 on the clock so was taking it very easy being under the run in (plus new car ). Friend plugged in OBD reader and had the 02 sensor bank 2 too lean error (though I have been told this actually defaults to rich) and reading pretty much 0 volts on it - as in 2nd/3rd decimal place was fluctuating. Been trying to get this into the dealerships down here but there is about 1 1/2 month waiting list - as you can imagine a bit frustrated! Was wondering if anyone else has had this, also in terms of driving the car - I realise its better to leave if possible, but I have no way of keeping the battery charged (due to where I live), is the odd 1 or 2 15 mile a week while I wait to get this in going to harm it - or better off letting the battery die and flat bedding - which might cause its own issues. Cheers
