I guess for every a-hole cop there's a couple good ones. Two of my good buddies are cops as well as my brother-in-law. Their philosophy is pretty much leave well enough alone. None of them write tickets, in fact one of them has been reprimanded on many occasions for not writing enough. Also, I was pulled over for speeding and the cop let me go because I went so fast through the trap he couldn't get a speed on me (vascar). His partner a mile down the road pulled me over and I had to wait until he showed up. Luckily, he missed his FZR that his wife made him sell. Mike

Sorry about that. I thought 92 was the end for the SE and that 93 started the S4. But yeah, that would be the one in the autotrader. What year was the first for the S4? Mike

I've been searching the Internet for some answers, but only found NADA value, so I figured I'd ask the experts. The car is a 93 s4 with 6300 miles. The description says the car is in excellent showroom condtion, but I would have to disagree. There are scrathes or cracks throughout the paint. Maybe it was used as a shelf when parked in the garage or is the paint known to crack? B) The driver's side door edge is scraped up pretty bad as if the driver counldn't figure out there was a concrete wall next to him or her. It also appears as if they had trouble locating the lock cylinder as there are scratches around the door handle. The front has been hit at one point. There is no damage, but again cracked paint. The driver's side seat in my opinion is rather worn on the bolster (for such low mileage) and the rear wheel has some serious curb rash on the lip. I have two cars with 40,000 miles on them and both are in better cosmetic condtion than this Esprit - one is even older than the Esprit. Makes me question the authenticity of the mileage. Now I know I'm very anal when it comes to the condition of my cars, but for 6300 miles, I'd expect the car to look brand spankin new! As for it's mechanical condition, I don't know. I was told it has clutch shudder. Is that common or is it because the car isn't driven enough? What mechanical issues should I be looking out for? I didn't take it for a drive as it was 8:15 am and no one was around. I might go back later, but they're asking $36,000 which seems a little high to me, and I just may be wasting my time. Thanks, Mike
