1978 Elite Battery

Can someone please enlighten me as to a replacement battery for my 1978 Elite? I don't have the original and can't find a good part number or size.

I use a YUASA PREMIUM 12v Type 048 in my Elite. It fits fine.

I fitted an Optima Red Top RTS 3.7R to my Excel, which is an AGM (absorbent glass mat) battery. Not cheap but they are not brimmed with acid and rarely go flat even when left for months. Not sure if Excel is the same as Elite for battery size so check dimensions before any purchase. I believe AGM batteries are a half-way house between traditional acid type and gel type (gel batteries are still very expensive). I have several AGM batteries and they have proved very reliable. I think AGM are also used in all stop-start vehicles, so prices are coming down as AGM becomes more mainstream.
