My Vehicle model designation

Just been doing insurance renewal quotes 

when I feed my car reg it determines my car as Sports Racer not plain Evora ?

is this common for insurance quotes etc 

also my DVLA checks of mot history etc says it’s sports racer 

how can I check or even change it ?

My car is the same when I do insurance quotes. I just manually pick the model.

My insurance company says it what the dvla have it registered so I can’t seem to change it ?

is this common I would guess if you had a Ford VW mass car the models types get confused 

am I paying too much for my insurance or I  guess it would be marginal?

When I was getting quotes it dropped quite significantly when I told them it was a regular Evora 4 (278) rather than a sports racer.

i told them it was a plain Evora but I think on my V5 it stipulates Sports Racer but it’s definitely not and that what the database they work off !

I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference, providing the insurer knows if it is NA or S, as the SR was obviously available either way.

I didn’t think it would make any difference but it just dawned on me as I was going to apply the carbon vinyl next week and to get sport racer look but I realised my V5 , insurance says it’s Sports Racer ? 

Ah well ! Just ignore it as I aim to keep the car for many a year !
