Otter switch and new fan relays

Gents:

Am restoring a 1978 Federal Lotus Esprit S2-my 1st post.

Not clear after reading posts on this topic how the existing otter switch interfaces with any new dedicated wire feed from starter, new dedicated fuse box and new dedicated fan relays. 

Is the otter switch wiring connected to the new fuse box as well. Otherwise not clear on how the otter communicates with the fans?

yes, otter switch is fed from the fusebox , when the water temperature rises, the otter switch activates and sends the live feed to a relay that cuts the fans in
