Mangiafuoco Fire Eater

Recommended Posts

We have a few spares following a group buy of Mangiafuoco Fire Eaters.

The Fireater is a flame inhibitor effective for closed environments such as engine bays and the Lotus cabin.

Originally developed for the Soviet space stations, based on the use of a potassium salt and pyrotechnic rubbing primer which produce a gas that escapes from the shell and suffocates the flame.

It offers a number of advantages compared to a traditional extinguisher:

Size – Its compact size allows it to be easily fit in the Lotus cabin.
No maintenance
No residue after use – This is critical vs powder extinguishers that corrode
Non pressurised contents.

50 seconds of delivery vs around 10 seconds of a traditional 1Kg powder extinguisher.

These are the same units re-branded by Sparco at the significantly higher price of £84 plus postage!

£55 including Postage to the UK.
Postage outside of the UK at additional cost.

Thank You
