Can the main back part of the wing mirror be removed without any damage or is a one complete piece ?

i understand it’s a wing mirror from x type Jag ?

Yes, they are from X (and maybe, S) Type Jaaags.

i assume the many listed items on eBay will not totally wrong if I get one ? 

Not damaged mine but the wrap guys hadn’t been able to prize the back off the passenger side but the drivers came away fine ? 

So in case they manage to break anything I thought I prepare with a replacement ?

Yes, any of the OEM/Jag X Type mirror covers on eBay will fit.

You need to take the glass out to release the tabs. Pretty much the same on every car and very simple to do, so concerned that they can't figure that out.
