Dry sump Essex spec/FYEO spec

After turning out to be a much bigger project than anticipated I’ve decided to sell my Monaco white Turbo Esprit with 4 stud Compomotive’s and Panasonic cockpit stereo. It has the full brown leather that was offered from 1980 – 1981 only and in this combination is famous for being the first Esprit on screen in For Your Eyes Only. Lotus have confirmed that only 4 production cars were made to this exact specification and the movie car was a pre production example so five in total. It is also just the 7th production Turbo Esprit not in Essex colours but other than the colour scheme is full Essex spec.

The car needs an extensive engine rebuild and would need paintwork to make it perfect, there is no doubt that it will take time and money – I will probably regret never getting to drive it – but the time is not right at present for me to take the project forward.

I take it this is the one that is at Sparkys ?   Sorry to see you are moving it on,  but a wise choice rather than get to deep into the project ,  I hope you find another one soon that need sless work,  Nice car and great history,  look forward to seeing it on here getting a full overhaul
