12mm hole size, 22mm outer diameter, 4mm thick. I am not sure if the oil seals are directional though.

Im not sure which seal this is. (12x22x4)  I cant find it in the parts book.  Where exactly is it located?  I am also after this O ring.  No2.  Anyone know what size it is.  SJ want £13 plus postage which I wont pay on principal unless it is proved to be something special.

The distributor shaft oil seal is located under the advance weights. To access, you need to remove the distributor shaft.

As for part no. 2, I could measure that for you a few hours later when I get home since I have a stripped down distributor on my table.

That's just ridiculous (yes I know they are in business)   A standard Nitrile O-Ring will be just fine and cost you maybe £1 or so delivered....    Think I also have some new ones knocking around if I can find them for measurement (they are thinner than a typical o ring)

I had the same issue. Ordered the correct O ring from Lotus only to find it was a little slack in the dizzy and didn't look like it would seal against the outside of the housing either. In the end I replaced with a slightly fatter O ring from my box of standard ones. Sorry I can't recall the exact size.

Not worth starting anything now...🍺

You could try an o-ring with 2mm rubber diameter but it may be extremely tight fitting, if at all possible. Bear in mind, o-rings depend on "squeeze" both radially and laterally, for sealing. As the rubber material squashes radially,  it deforms laterally to fill the groove in which it sits.

The o ring should fill the cutout, what you have fitted is not the correct one. :)

It's getting there......

I am speechless. Perhaps you could walk into a local o-ring supplier, or a motor factor with your distributor. 😥
