Absolute Lotus wedge group test

I only occasionally see Absolute Lotus on the newsstands, so I was very pleased to see this feature in the March/April issue back-to-back testing a pre-production Eclat, an Elite S1, an Eclat S2.2 and Elite S2.2, an Excel prototype and an Excel SE.

We do seem to be getting quite a bit of coverage in this magazine.

Agreed. I don't know too much about the other Lotus models (and it's up for debate how much I know about these ones, given the problems I have/create!), but I've really enjoyed the magazines so far and the coverage into the Lotus scene.

Yes the Eclat / Elite feature was superb!  Great to see them in print

It's made me want an Eclat Riviera even more than I did already looking at the photos in the magazine. However, I've come across a 1982 Excel with chassis number one up from the prototype tested in the article so am investigating that. However, it's been made to look like a post 1984 model and resprayed white to a Rover Red which is a shame. What I'd really like to know is what happened to the Ice Blue Excel from the motor show stand. Anyone?
