All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

An excellent article , as for which one he prefers there lies the issue of the comment tells a story on its own and is the tipping precursor to the rest of the article. If I wrote the article I would be biased the other way.

" Further disclosure: I’m a wool-dyed, rosy-glasses-wearing 911 GT3 tragic. Every time I’ve driven one "

But the comment has reduced the colour in the rose coloured glasses.

"The blown V6 doesn’t so much propel the Evora’s lithe form as flings it effortlessly wherever the front wheels are pointed. It’s light on its rubber feet, extremely eager to respond to steering input, to track a line or obey a sudden change in direction, to a point that makes the Porsche feel hefty and – dare I say it – slightly dull and blunted around the dynamic edges. What an eye-opener! "

Especially if the car in question has this issue, which for me is right up there with the IMS bearing issue, which took a number of generations to change.

I'm just not sure which car he prefers?

Conclusion seems like both excellent and comparable experience cars hence while the price point makes it a Lotus win.

The Price mentioned doesnt include Gov charges and less options start at less $201.00 AUD add a few options and there is one for sale at $215 but this is an absolute bargain 400

It is interesting that you bring that up Graeme. The original intent of a lot of the charges on imported cars was to protect our own car industry and make us buy Australian built cars.

We now do not have any home-grown cars, but do the government get rid of the ridiculous charges they impart on imported cars?

Let's us ask one.

Us: Why don't we get rid of all the taxes on imported cars now that we do not have our car industry to protect?

Evora GT410 Sport vs. Porsche 991 GT3 Touring.
Again the Evora stood its place well against a Porsche.
I was not surprised about the result but I am surprised to read such a comparison in a car magazine at all 🙂

Cheers for posting,  a nice reveiw

I especially like the "  They’re cut from similar cloth, then, if not really identical cloth, which extends through to engines that are born of race-bred engineering and are fit for an all-day flogging, be it road or track."

I can forgive them as they had the Martini cars which is a cracking livery, and of course the gulf livery,  but they will never topple the black and gold JPS livery and F1 racing history :)

There probably better forums to discuss this, however there is a group in Victoria working on just that, however some Labour poly in NSW is sighting an increase just for NSW just be for a State election
