Waiting on parts for progress with the engine, but decided on positioning and plumbing for the chargecooler pump & header tank.

Not too bad, but a lot of work to make it onto a really nice model of the car.

Test fitting of motorsport plenums and chargecoolers.  Will need to fabricate a support bracket, but they will sit nicely above the gearbox for phase 1 or the engine run-in.

Planning to install the engine in the rolling chassis next week.

Engine is now loomed-up ready to go.

That exhaust manifold looks like something from a 1950's tractor, I guess gas flow wasn't a priority?

The cast manifolds support enough flow for over 500bhp.

The stage 2 engine will have fabricated manifold

I notice the manifold is secured with socket head screws, how do you stop them vibrating loose?

That`s only for test fitting when the prototype was fabricated.

More test fitting of parts....   chargecoolers and water pump fitting.

Dust seals for the output flanges arrived today, together with the pivot mechanism for the planned cable shift.   The seal springs are removed on the outer dust seal as it is dry.

Some more design work to do on the shift lever and cable arrangement.

Pivot based changer installed - now waiting on the cable retaining bracket and spherical rod end.

Optimised the position of the chargecooler pump to make use of some space where the A/C compressor would have been. 

Added some additional heat shielding of the chargecooler coolant hard pipes.

Had a nice visit from my mentor and parter-in-crime Andrä.

Still awaiting the arrival of the flywheel, but decided to mock-fit the gearbox and associated hardware.  Still tons to do, but it is starting to come together well.

Now I can work on the gear-change arrangement and get that working.
