Got and email from Hoffmans saying Lotus have released a new track exhaust for the Evora 4XX and Exige cars

New Track Silencer.

Lotus have just announce the release of a new track style silencer which is suitable for the Evora 400 model range (not including Federal versions or cars fitted with a 3rd catalytic converter) as well as the Exige Sport 380/ 410 & Cup 380/ 430 models.

The exhaust gives a weight saving of 3Kg over the standard silencer and is noise reduced to make it more compliant for track use. Note: This is a non-active silencer, so, the exhaust valve override button (if fitted) will no longer operate.

it's probably long overdue, particularly for the Exige owners who got their car primarily to track.

I'm not sure I could 'permanently' be without that lovely exhaust noise though😱

Stick it one of the KT bungs in as well and you could track the car without making a sound and get on the toughest of tracks, great news this exhaust.

Whats a KT bung?  One those things you can attach to the exhaust tips to dampen the sound?
