anyone here successfully install a front glass on their esprit? i can't find anyone locally to guarantee their work. i have the instructions and am contemplating doing the work solo.

I have just installed my front screen on my S3. I say I have the trueth is I assisted a friend who is a window screen fiter for a living.

I will say this it is not a job for one person. it will take two to move the glass in to place. The screen and the surround MUST be primed with the correct stuff or the glue will not adhere to it. I know this to be true because I have cleaned up the overspill from the screen on non primed areas with ease. But on the areas that are primed it will not budge.

Keep an eye out for a Screen fitting van in your area and have a chat with the guy doing the work, my friend told me that 90% of the people that work for his company do private work to boost their wage packet.

my esprit had one fitted by auto winscreens just prior to me gettin it !!

screen ok but trim knackerd. will be coming back out as soon as funds permit
