  • I thought this was it's inspiration? 🤣💡

  • I can see the Esprit in there but my immediate thought was this https://images.app.goo.gl/NQo1rTyEEB559WYZ6

  • More like a DeLorean, especially with the stainless steel bodywork. Doesn't look very practical as a pick-up though.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Genius marketing design what with everyone talking about it. Low radar cross section so less risk of speeding fine ;) All those sharp leading edges will play havoc on boundary layer separation and increased Cd though, but I don't think that was really under consideration in its design.

I love it, makes a change and a change is as good as a holiday :)

That is one ugly car! Good Heavens.

It's nasty beyond recognition of anything mad made before. It's like a ... fiat multipla.

I can only imagine one that this car would suit - robocop. And he was never cool either.

Jacques

Nobody does it better - than Lotus ;)

It’s a pretty mad but it seems to be a form follows function type of approach.

That said, Elon’s S1 prop certainly had an influence on it.

I knew I was right, from today's Times:

Mr Musk said the design for the “bulletproof” $39,900 (£31,000) grey truck was partly influenced by the Lotus Esprit sportscar that doubled as a submarine in the 1970s James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me.

😀
