My S2 Exige did the same even with a jump start connected just click click bump started ok run and charged same again was due the oil cooler recall so down to bell&colvill even they said just needs a charge and they ended up replacing the battery even though it held a steady voltage but just diddent like being under load

The Toyota V6 needs a lot of power to turn it over. Unless the battery is fully charged and functioning it will not work.

The Varta blue OEM battery is renowned for sudden catastrophic failure as well. New Varta Silver will fix it.

Oh, and don't keep trying to start it or you will trigger the airbag light which will require a trip to a Lotus dealer to turn it off.

Hope the yuasa lasts longer than yours it's been in for 7 months so fare so good glad to see your back running what did you fit ?

Had an old Varta in my old Mercedes and lasted 12 years who knows maybe it's a bit of luck sometimes

If you can run a Ctek battery monitor. Low usage late model cars need full voltage 100% of the time, the Ctek pay for them selves with extended battery life by cycling the battery to keep the plates clean. There are Ctek for AGM batteries also.
