After having new Yokohama fitted all-around, I thought the Elise was not as smooth as previously, though I had not driven it for some time so I wondered if it was just me forgetting how a stripped out sports car is.

I checked the tyre pressures. 32 front, 38 rears. I was deflated, as were the tyres to 23/27.5. That did the trick.

Surprised the tyre shop got that so wrong. I'll supply the pressures next time.

I drove home humming modified words to the Queen/David Bowie song 'Under Pressure'.

Usually to ensure it sits on the rim correctly. But then adjust once wheel back on.

I think it was ignorance.

The fact is, it is my car, I drive it, so best check as soon as I got it back. I always check oil after a service.....my Excel was returned by a Lotus specialist with 2 litres too much oil. I don't use them anymore.
