Shift linkage adjustment

Are there any tutorials on adjusting your shift linkage? I want to adjust the shift linkage on my V8. Any help would be appreciated.

That will be dead handy

There's more than one or two owners who have automatically

gone down the 'red hose' path only to find the problem lies here.

(the SS hose is still well worth doing though IMO).

Where is the exact location of the shift linkage? Under the center console?

Paul,

Since I have a 2000 V8, the red hose doesn't apply to me. I would like to install a stainless steel hose though (if one is not installed already; have not checked). I will take photos and write up documentation for my linkage adjustment when I do it. Just need to find time.

Parts under the gear knob, the other is at the gearbox, near the exhausts. The V8 is slightly different. You'll need a service manual if you're going to do it yourself.

I have a .pdf version of the Service manual. However, it's a little difficult trying to determine which sections are for the V8.
