Ive heard this term used a few times now relating to the ECU, Im pretty sure mine is in some sort of limited capacity mode as my Charge cooler pump is cattled, is there a procedure to re set it??

Yup, fix your chargecooler pump

It you reset it, it will go straight back into safe mode as the problem is still there.

Mmmmmm..... yes that was the plan to fix it first , so what your saying is once the pump is working properly it will go into normal mode itself?

Dunno, guess so, but if it doesn't, leave the battery off for 30 mins and then follow the instructions on this thread...

do u have freescan?

sort charge cooler and then reset ecu that should do the trick providing you dont have further problems.

if you do you ideally need freescan

id certainly consider the electric pump from john welsh

had that fitted on mine.

great bit of kit and fits a treat by the wastegate solenoid. no extra hoses needed

my cc temp now runs abou 29 deg (cool baby) lol

A few words of caution.........

.... and don't forget guys there should be no need to reset the ECU as we all know to disconnect the battery before we start....... or else..

Floor the throttle.

When ECU limits my boost, i cannot get the boost needle past the 12 o'clock mark

on the boost gauge. When it's unlimited the needle shoots all the way to the right.
