How to remove gauge pod cover?

Recommended Posts

Hi club! I am the new owner of a 1997 Lotuse Esprit, 35,000 miles excellent condition, white over parchment leather. I am located in Sarasota, FL and this is my first Lotus...what a hoot!

I want to get the past owners stickers off the windshield but can't get a good reach beacause of the instrument panel cover. Could someone advise me on how to remove it? It might be easy but I don't want to miss anything and end up with broken parts. :P

I would appreciate your input and any pictures if possible. :D

You are very lucky!!!

If you had an '89 like mine, the whole intrument binnacle

has to be disconnected and removed as one item. Boo!

:P

As you have a '97 the cowling on the top comes off on it's own. Hurrah!

:D

There a guide to mine here (with a link to how to do yours at the top):

There are quite a few Lotus people and a couple of Lotus clubs down in FL. You must hook up with them, it will make life a lot easier for you.

Yes Brian that's true. Sorry I didn't notice where you were in your first post.

We have a fairly active group in the Orlando area and get together regularly for dinner or to wrench on our cars. Email me directly if you would like to hook up.

We are talking about a road trip to Atlanta in October and there is the Poker Run from Miami to the Keys in December.
