I’ve tried searching for a topic on this without luck so if there is one apologies - please can someone direct me to it.

Otherwise the issue was that when I bought my car (400) there was some play in the steering. By that I mean that i could turn the steering wheel slightly in each direction before feeling it turn the wheels.  Took it to Lotus s/s who tightened the UJ bolts and that sorted that.  However 6 weeks later I have noticed some play now creeping back in. Not as bad as before but definitely there.  
 

I’ve also noticed from the outset an occasional and subtle click through the steering wheel when I turn the wheel to the right.

Are these common issues and can anyone offer guidance on how I can tighten sort this out myself without taking a day off work for a dealer visit.
