S2 Elite gearbox components, pedalbox clutch, flywheel wanted

Hi, I am looking for parts to do a manual conversion on my rhd S1 Elite. I already have a Getrag gearbox, looking for associated bits and pieces.

I am confident the flexplate ( 2 piece assembly ) was specified when Lotus found flex in the 2.2 stroke crank in need of mitigation, so if you're still at 907 2 litre capacity should be fine with the

I've got a brand new clutch plate (but no clutch cover) for the Getrag 'box. Is the flywheel different to the Series 1? I also have a series 1 flywheel. I might have a pedal box in the lock-up as well. Postage to SA is going to be painful!

Hi Pete, sounds great! Apparently the flywheel is different between S1 and S2. I am not sure on the practicalities.

I am used to the pain of shipping to SA by now and have worked out some fairly bearable methods.

I saw that thread. I didn't know that the flexplate flywheel appeared so early on - I'd assumed it was only on the Excel. Every day is a school day! 🙂
