Can anybody tell me where the hazard flasher unit is on the Elite S2 please ?

The workshop manual says on the later cars (presumably S2) it's mounted on the pedal box, which again is presumably behind the under dash panel where the pedals are exposed. I've just changed the brake pedal switch which I thought would be adjacent, but no. Unfortunately I can't see anything that looks like the flasher unit. Replacement units from SJ Sportscars shows that it looks like a small 3 pin black cube, but I can't see it. The green/ brown wiring between the stalk unit and the flasher cannot be followed as it's out of sight somewhere up under the dash. I've removed both side panels too, but still can't see it.

Wondering if it could be behind the dash panel itself, but that seems totally inaccessible.

So, any advice please ?

I was in the Lotus position all last week and on my 1981 Eclat S2 its attached to the underside of the steering column above the horizontal finisher above the drivers side footwell.

Thanks Graham, I’ll check mine out in the morning. I’ve left the panel off so hopefully I can see it this time. Can you confirm it's a black cube shape… 3 pins. I'll see if I can take a photo.

Thank you Don. I was looking for a black cube as that's what SJ sell as a replacement, but seeing yours, I believe mine is this (white) one. A white module plugged into another item. The wiring appears similar  Earth, and greens with pink and brown tracers. (Though this doesn't match the manuals wiring diagram colours) Mine is like a wiring jungle under there, plus an aftermarket alarm someone put on. Ugh !

Hopefully I have the correct unit. Observations ? .

I thought the white module was the flasher unit. It's the connector block. Doh !  

Working upside down with no glasses or light is my poor defence for being stupid.

The long black box (with no markings whatsoever) is the flasher module.  I was trying to compare it with the SJ Sportscar module which is a different size and shape. Anyhow, after speaking to the nice man at SJ he's sending me an identical replacement in the post today. Fingers crossed it'll pop straight in and problem solved.
