Hello,

I'm new here and this is my first post.

It seems to be the norm in my country to damage parked cars and then just drive off without leaving any contact details as this has happened twice to me know, leaving me with several thousands of euro's worth of damage that i couldn't claim anywhere. Most recently, this happened to my mint condition 2017 Evora 400 where someone decided it was a good idea to slam their door into mine, look at their handywork before getting in their rustbucket, followed by simply driving off (my wife saw it happen but was too far away with my 1-year old daughter to get to them in time).

Since i already had dashcams in our other cars, i figured i should install one in the Lotus as well.
Searching a bit i came across a video with a guy running 2 dual-channel dashcam setups, with the rear cams mounted on the side windows in the back:

 

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a similar setup, or perhaps something like this, which looks like it involves a lot of effort and drilling holes (that i'd rather not do): 

Ideally with an Evora due to the positioning and angle of the back windows.I have a Nordval DC102 2-channel cam with a hardwire kit that i'd like to connect but i don't know if i could run 2 of those or how i should connect that as the hardwire kit taps into the fuse box. I would think that, like the guy in the youtube video, i'd need an external battery that would charge up while driving and connect them to that. Tinkering with electronics is not my strong suit, so would appreciate any advice.
