V8 steering column in '88 Turbo

Recommended Posts

I've got the later V8 interior for my 88 Esprit, and there are obviousley a couple of things to resolve.

One of the major headaches, is how to get the later style indicator stalks to fit my car.

The later car also uses a centre horn push, and not on the end of the stalk like the earlier cars.

I have got hold of a V8 steering upper column, and the steering wheel boss, as well as the wiring plugs.

Does anyone know if this will fit straight into my car, or will some mods be required?

It's been suggested that the V8 column is slightly shorty.. but at which end?

Has anyone fitted the later column into their earlier car?

Cheers,

Glyn.

Glyn,

I think you're the first! Can you check with Marc Holmes at Espritism and see if he has an 88 steering column that he could measure for you.
