Indicator/wiper stalks

Just bought an 82 Turbo Esprit and the stalks are on the “wrong” side 

looking at how they are described on the SJ sportscars site, that is how they are supposed to be.

however the new car is the only one of the 7 in the family that has them this way around - cue lots of wiping the screen when meaning to indicate….

has anyone successfully fitted the later stalks (the other way around on my wife’s 86 Turbo Esprit) and hers self cancel when the turn is made?
