Has anyone (in the UK) used Redex in their engine. I know it was very popular at one time and it worked. The other ucl that was used was Castrol R40. That stuff smelt very sweet when the cars were racing. I wonder if it is of any use in the Esprit

No idea in the Lotus, but I gave it a go in a Rover 214 some time ago. Tremendous difference in the buzzy little K series - more power, smoother running etc. Wonderful amount of smoke for first 5 minutes (this is redex in the plug holes, turn engine a few times, reload the plugs and get gone).

Would be interested in knowing if it's any good for the Esprit...

Used to use it in my Gpz and other bikes years ago. I happenned to mention it to the guys at PNM and his voice changed to that, DONT BE SO SILLY BOY! so I put it in the lawn mower, now that was great, Turned the whole back garden into a battleship smoke screen simulation. I highly recommend doing that for funs sake alone!
