Got the schedule for race day:-

Qualify Mid Engined - 10.05 am

Qualify Endurance - 11.35 am

Racing starts at 1.15 pm

We are race 4 & 8, so around 2pm and 4pm ish.

Rather than getting there too early, we can plan to get in for about 9:30-9:50AM if you like?

This will mean pre meet up times will be 8:50Am at M56 services leave at 9AM then 9:20Am at Nunsmere Hall Pub on A49.

Can we agree on this. any other sugestions?

We can change these times to suit the majority, Iam easy!

Is Kato Away this week do we know? Once we agree on times I want to put a post on LEW news page.

Hope to see you there.

I just hope the weathers dry! :o I have managed to only drive in dry conditions since I got the car.

Dave,

The meeting places and times are fine for me. Could you post up Postcodes of the meeting places.

I have the Nunsmere Hall Pub at CW8 2ES.

I have Oulton Park at CW6 9BW.

Is this correct ?

Ill be heading south on the M6 and then west to the service station meet on the M56. So if anyone wants to meet for the M6 south bound run just let me know and Ill be happy to meet up. Ill be joining the M6 at juntion 29.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Carl,

If your heading down the M6 then you might be better meeting up at the Nunsmere Hall as it's only 5 mins from junction 18. No point doubling back on yourself unless you really want to mett up at the first point?

Guys Nunsmere is here if you need to find it

http://www.nunsmere.co.uk/location.htm

just had the heads up on the latest news. We now have LEF/LEW group,

Norlog, Nyloc and now Club Lotus who sent a newsletter to NW owners.

It should be a great turn out, wonder how many cars we'll get, 100 perhaps?

Excellent - Sounds like we could be on for a very good turnout B) . I probably will meet you at the pub looking at the directions.

Cheers Dave.

Carl.

Dave,

Are the Chester services only accessible form the M56 or can you get to them from the A5117? My map suggests that they might actually be OFF the M56 but its not very clear.

I'm continuing to badger both Roger Wade and Peter Mallory. Hopefully, I can get both of them to come along.

Cheers,

Graham.

Graham it's both as the services are actually off the motorway just off the roundabout at intersection with A5117. It's not one of those services that is accessed only bbby the motorway.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Dave.

I'm aiming to be there just before 9am.

Roger Wade can't make it. The NHS have arranged a list for him (they need to cut the waiting lists to meet political targets) on Saturday morning.

I've told Peter Mallory that he's got to come and show everyone is S3.

Cheers,

Graham.

Planning to be there in my new V8 early afternoon- hopefully there will be some parking spaces left then. Unfortunately practice clashes with junior's football match but I only have to travel from Cheshire anyway. Look forward to meeting you.

I am bit dissapointed to the amount of people backing out of tommorrow's meeting. Lets hope there's still enough of us to show it's a lotus meeting!

Keith Avison's car is dead so is coming in his other car.

Les Toong hasn't picked his Esprit up yet so might be coming in his other car.

Rob Ellis, Roy Keone, Keith Parr can't make it now.

Is Paul C still coming or any others from south of Birmingham?

Dave to get more than 10 Esprits together north of Birmingham is an achievement so keep your spirits up mate!

Can we just pay on the gate at Oulton or is it tickets in adavance?

I will meet you guys at the premeet at the Hall in adavance anyway

David, I hate to do this (especially after the Beaulieu thing I know how it feels) but I can't make it for a number of reasons. I'm really sorry and I hope you and all the other attendees have a fantastic time.

Hi Richard, Nice to finally speak to you this morning. Just having a bad week so please forgive me. ;) This is the only thing I have to look forward to this weekend so it was dissapointing to see people dropping out. I shouldn't be so hard as it always happens so lets just enjoy ourselves. ;)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yep! :D

Will aim to be at pub/hall for nine. Not as far as i thought really as is under manc

(i had not looked until this week, thought the circuit was further north). Am leaving

about 5.30 am and will take breakfast at sandbach with time to spare i think.

Just been trying to get the number for a rural shell garage i'm passing in the hope

they are open that early!, everything you see, must run like clockwork or apparently

i get cross and my ears turn pink... she says...

See you's tomorrow.

B)

PS can you or Alan PM me your mobile, be nice to have if i'm delayed or lost ;)

Like the south of Birmingham thing ;)

Even though i was born in Birmingham and (partially!) grew up in Coventry,

Now i'm in the cotswolds and talking like a carrot cruncher, i really do consider

everything above Birmingham as being 'North'.

:D

My brother lives in Manchester and i've been to visit him once, and that was

the first time i'd been to manchester. Figured i'd get me watch nicked by some

lads in kappa gear, but in fact i was very impressed with salford keys where he

lived, and i thought the trafford centre was pretty cool too.

Not at all the collection of ginger haired, cave dwelling cannibals that i had been

led to believe populated the north! We look forward to tomorrows journey and

meet very much!

Come on all ye south of brum, hit the road!, what did you buy the car for eh???

;)

150 miles there, in the dry, before six in the morning, near empty motorway

Great company, and a good turnout of Esprit and other lotus cars (forgot camera

on this one guys, soz). Weather and the Esprit (typical lotus!) not making the race

were a shame. And the 150 home in almost nil visability and loads of aquaplaning

was 'entertaining' to say the least!!!

;)

Still, home safe. Thanks Dave for sorting this out, always hard getting everyones

arse in gear, but i think you managed an admirable turnout today, and i'd do it all

again, even through the same weather, as the alternative would have been to have

woken up five hours later to a weekend of rain, the car not moving, and watching

columbo or summink.

:)
