Oh dont even go there - after 6 weeks of no i-net connection at all from 'BT, yes you can get broadband sir' have had to go back to dial-up I could rant all day about how UNBELIEVABLY CRAP BT'S SERVICE IS, but i wont!

I went onsite sometime ago to someone who BT had said could have broadband and the BT guys (3 of them) had been there hours to try and sort it) I took a pot luck guess and fixed it in 60 seconds....

If you live in a rural area and you have two telephone numbers in your house, regardless of what BT tell you, its possible that they just split the line at the pole outside. Put an ADSL filter on the OTHER telephone numbers sockets in the house and hey presto everything works, just in case this is relevant I thought I would post it, sorry if its not
