Exhaust Details, As Promised (and Site Update)

Recommended Posts

The deatils of my exhaust, as promised, including lots of pictures, can now be found on my site.

I've also made a number of other additions, so browse around.

Here's a teaser:

Have you ever driven the 512 TR? I'm just curious how it feels compared to the S4 suspension and build-wise. I think (Brian?) said he dynoed at 351hp? The owner's name is brian right?

Good photos btw.

Brain, yes.

351, Yes

Are you cross-shopping TRs and Esprits?

I've only ridden in the TR once, but based on that expereince and other Ferrari experience the build quality is in another universe compared to Lotus.

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you on the 512M.

The TR is just a bit too 80s to me. I guess I'm just too young to appreciate it. Don't get me wrong, if someone handed me keys to one, I'd never stop driving it, but if it were my own money, i'd go a different route. I like the 80's look of the 944 Turbo and some other stuff, but not the TR.

So why is a 512 NOT a Testarossa? Looks like one to me!

Why is an SE not a V8, they look the same to me?

Actually, while the Testa and 512TR have the same shape, they share very little parts, including body parts.

Well an SE and a V8 both ARE Esprits!! :D (and both very proud of it imo!)

Mad isn't it - that they are as proud of the association with an old 1978 S1 / S2 as they are with a GT3 or S350 etc etc

One of the first things I noticed and liked most about Esprit owners and ownership is that there was no inter-model snobbery! They're all just Esprits be they N/A S3's or S300's!
