Does Lotus still sell bumpers/rocker panel/valences for the older SE/S4 esprits? What about the 97+ models?

If so, do you have a rough estimate at what body parts would cost?

I saw an ad for an S4 that had been hit. I'm not looking to buy it, but I was wondering, if you were hit, would you be able to get new parts. Or if you wanted an S4 bumper on your SE type of thing...

SJ's GRP parts are all pattern and don't always fit 100% nicely imho... Also you invariably have a 6-9 month wait for them to bother making it!

Best bet is usually to find a breaker or collector or someone who is changing the look of their car.

I'm fairly sure these ARE the sort of things you CAN get from Lotus - I just got bumpers for my '86Turbo.

Why not pre-emptively contact that S4 owner (if it's a write off) and offer to buy the vlances / bumpers that are still good?

I would avoid fiberglass knock-offs. I'm pretty sure the the Esprit parts are not pure Fiberglass, they're FRP, and it's different. I think the plastic is what makes it more flexable. Plus the bumpers are plastic I think.
