I'm almost ready to put some paint on the body and was just looking at the hole where the arial comes out. Do you think I should keep it or fibreglass over and fill it in.

Chasis goes of on Wednesday to be shot blast and zinc coated, I suppose I'd better see how much money I've got left after Crimbo and get all my new poly bushes and suspension on order.

OK then, that's all I wanted to hear.

I am going to fiberglass across the underside of the hole and then sand down the top side a bit and then build it up in a couple of layers of filler. Should work ok but I suppose time will tell.

Well it is now history

A few layers of fibreglass matting, a bit of filler, a very dizzy head B) and all is well. While I was at it I filled the holes over for the side indicators, when the factory drilled these out they were not exactly careful and the indicators barely covered the holes. I will be putting some clear ones on the side and now have the flexibility to choose which ones I want.

Little things like this shouldn't be a problem when it comes to sell the car on as they can be removed and the originals put back on should the next owner want to. Don't get me wrong I'm not about to sell it as soon as it's finnished but I always intended it to be my first step towards owning a Sport 300 .......... mmmm I'm drewling just thinking about that car

I think I am now ready for painting I just need to sort out wing mirrors as it seems I have to different types. One looks like an OEM product which I prosume is the original and the other is a Ford item which looks as far as I can tell like a Capri item. I was thinking about buying two new Capri mirrors (if when I check with a local ford dealer they are Capri) any opinions on this or does anyone know where I can get two original items.
