907 engine parts and gasket sets

Hello people

I am currently doing a freshen up on my S2 Esprit engine, its only done 50.000 miles but has not been on the road for about 10 years because of fire in rear carb and a burnt exhaust valve so i decided it would be a good idea to pull it down and give the whole thing a freshen.

My questions are there any after market gasket kits available in the UK for these engines and is it possible to source rings and bearings other than from a lotus supplier, the engine is all standard sizes and is only going to require a light hone on the cylinders and a linish on the crank. Its mostly the Gasket sets for the top end VRS set and a complete bottom end rebuild set, i have my machine shop chasing rings and bearings but its good to know if there is another source

regards

Total seal may be able to supply piston rings. Looking at their catalog they have rings available in almost every size imaginable.

Look up Ross Hockley Autos; he's in Auz and makes his own gaskets, bearings etc - nice stuff, and cheaper than Lotus. He's a Jensen guy really; but they have the 907 engine so he should be able to help.

Holden Vectra shells fit apparently with minor mod to block. That is the tag that stops the shells spinning is slightly wider on the Vectra.

See this site for details, note they get the cranks ex. Tasmania

Look up stroker crank kit for info on bearings

Lots of other stuff for 907. You will have guessed from URL it's a Jensen site

Well talk about it pays to shop around, Main bearings from S&J in england wanted 135 pounds, have sourced them from a guy here in Australia for 76 ( he is having them made and is about to start supplying Steve ), Big ends are about the same both sides of the pond but thrust washers are half the cost here, gasket sets are cheaper in the UK and water pumps are cheaper in the UK and some bits are cheaper on the site mentioned above. Well it looks like I will be buying bits from all of them and saving about 40%, just shows it pays to compare pricing
