Oil weights

My 2002 manual sows that lotus recommends mobil 1 0w40 , 5w50 , 5w30 in all climatic conditions.

What are most people going with? Didn't see the 15w50 on the list either, although lotus on the next page recommends a max low of 15 and min high of 40, so I guess it would meet the requirements.

Would the Mobil-1 0W40 recommendation also apply to the 4 cylinder SE models also?

I normally run 15W50 in the summer, but in my climate (Boston) it gets a bit hard to start in the winter, so this year I decided to run something lighter....please don't tell me a zero weight oil will cause damage or have other ramifications.
