Just received the Jan 2006 issue thru the post.

There is a fairly shallow article in this issue, probably on general sale in a day or two. Gives a brief history and has nice moody pics of a Stevens' turbo (courtesy of UK Sports Cars).

Worth a read.

I agree. Octane features proper Supercars. I'm waiting for the day they do a feature on the Esprit .

I had a years subscription to both Classic and Sports car and also Classic Cars Magazine. C&SC was a bit repetitive but ok, but Classic Cars magazine did this "Top 10 classic cars!" feature, almost every month .

There's only so many times you can read about how brilliant Porsche 911's / E types / DB5's are.

Ocatane did sort of feature an esprit earlier this year .issue 26 august 2005, it looked at 5 supercars but the esprit chosen was not the right one to go aginst the other 4 cars featured!

Oh yea, I remember that one, Pete Gentilli's S2. It was a sort of half hearted feature on the Esprit and as you say, was up against much faster cars.

Ok, I'll rephrase that; waiting for a Turbo or faster, to be featured .

Here is commiment to the Petrol cause for you, when I was out in OZ I would spen $80 Ozzie a month on 3 (yes only 3!) magazines, CS&C, Octane and Practical Classics. They were always a month late as well.

The car concerned is C12 DAC, which I must admit, looks pretty tidy.

I didn't spot any major goofs, apart from saying that Goodyear NCT tyres are readily available in Esprit sizes.
