engine temp

My '86 turbo was running at around 1/2 way up the gage at full warm up. Now it is going over 3/4 way up the gage. Is this ok or I need to fix something? thanks...

Needs to be looked at...shouldn't get that hot. Were you stationary or moving? If at a standstill, suspect the otter switch that turns the fans on...or the fans themselves...or the relay. Assuming you have a system full of coolant! Burst or leaking hoses aren't unusual, so if the levbel is way down check for that. Thermostat may be stuck closed..feel the pipes to the radiator; if they are cold or cool, might me the thermostat. Make sure the cooling system has been bled to get all the air out, too. Lots of stuff to peer at...!! Check the gauge, too..but that'd be too easy....
